Recently there was an incident of a passenger who has been denied of a fare discount. It was too unfortunate that there was a misunderstanding between our passenger and our ticketing personnel.
Under Marina Memorandum Circular 2017-03, Island Water strictly complies to all government mandated fare discounts for the following:
- Senior Citizen and PWD
Discount: 20% vat exempted
- Senior Citizens – All Filipino citizens of 60 years of age and above.
Proof: Senior Citizen ID, or any government issued ID showing age
- PWD’s – Persons with disabilities
Proof: PWD ID
- Students – Enrolled students
Discount: 20%
Proof: Valid Student ID
Under Marina MC there is really no guidelines on giving discounts for children and infants.
However, Island Water gives consideration to our children and infant passengers.
- Children: 7 years old and below
Proof: Any government issued ID, Valid School ID, Birth certificate, Vaccination Card showing age.
- Infants: 0-2 years old
Proof: Any government issued ID, Birth certificate and Center Immunization Record showing age.
For Island Water to fully implement the giving of the above discounts, passengers must present the required proof of Identification Cards. This is also to avoid inconvenience and misunderstanding.
If in case that there will be passengers who are unable to present the required proof of identification cards at the point of purchase, but are eligible for discounts, passengers may opt to pay the regular fare and can claim their discount privileges by going to our website https://islandwater.ph/discountclaim/

- Trip Date
- Departure Time
- Island Water passenger ticket
- Email Address
- Passenger Type
- Summary of request
- Bank account details, GCash, and Maya
- Required documents
* Validity of claim: not more than 7 days from the trip date
